The emissivity / emittance test determines the emissivity / emittance of typical materials using a portable differential thermopile emissometer. The purpose of the test is to provide a mean of quantifying the emissivity / emittance of opaque, highly thermally conductive materials near room temperature.

The emissivity / emittance test is performed according to the following test standard:
